My solo outing
I decided to go on a solo outing over a spring weekend, I wouldn’t consider it as a trip as it was just over a 24 hr outing. It was time I needed this for myself as I could reflect back on my thoughts, feelings and my reactions to them over the hectic past year of emotions. The beach was 2.5 hr drive and I had made my reservation for a sunset cruise which starts at 7 PM. My plan was to reach the cruise point by 6.30 PM (check-in time), but I was stuck big time in traffic and however managed to reach there by 6.45, but finding the parking spot was equally tough and finally reached the check-in counter at 7 PM, but it was too late since the cruise was already starting. But the lady at the counter was kind enough to reschedule the reservation for me the next afternoon, not for the sunset cruise as it was fully booked but instead for the dolphin cruise.
I was anyway relieved as I was fine with spending that evening with a stroll near the beach and viewing the sunset. The breeze was amazing and it was perfect for witnessing a pleasant sunset.
Being a sea food lover, I wanted to dine-in a beach side restaurant and I found this roof-top bar which obviously had a pretty long-wait to get a table, but to my advantage being a single party, they could fit me into a bar side lounge which worked perfectly fine for me. I had salmon with sides mashed sweet potato, squash and arugula.

I then crashed into my hotel and my plan for the next day was to hit the beach and probably rent a cycle.
For brunch, I found a local restaurant which had this amazing chicken skewers with flour bread and sour cream. Then I drove to an island which had the perfect ambience to spend time that afternoon with good trails and picnic area.

Below is a small writeup I have done tanning myself on the beach sand:
These water waves are quite mellifluous.
This beach sand in spring feels cold to my feet and the sea shells and sea weed are like the decor to this sand. Seagulls are chirping and dancing their way into the sea shore. I could see a father teaching his son to sail and making sure he would not fall and also a mother and her daughter having fun and singing as they paddle their way into the sea.
A far off wave runner is waggling away into a full tide.
A teenager is walking to and fro the beach with her fleeting thoughts and dreams.
The high wave and resting wave both have the opposite sounds which create a serene calmness.
I am writing this relaxing on the beach sand of so called Honeymoon island and this is clearly not my honeymoon, but a self retrospective solo outing.
Then I went on biking around the island, it was fun and also got to burn good amount of calories for the afternoon.
I headed for the cruise point and this time made sure to have enough room for the traffic delays. I checked in to the dolphin cruise and it started on high spirits with music and also a cheerful guide. It was a windy afternoon but we had clear skies to be able to witness the dolphins. We saw many of them in pairs swimming around and it was the best sight. For this cruise I made it a point not to open my mobile for capturing videos or pictures as I wanted to witness the dolphins without any distractions and it was a worthwhile sight.
I started heading off after a good outing with some fun filled moments. On my drive back, after seeing a glimpse of the sunset in my rear window, I pulled over my car near the parking spot.Even though I could not get a spot, I was able to manage clicking this picture from inside my car, just at the right time. This picture might not justify the true feeling behind the situation and how I felt this sunset was so imperfectly perfect.

I generally love my drives filled with good varied music including the 90’s classics, Indian and American pop. I can say that this drive gave me a self belief and a hope for the positive future.
